NOBADAY

It has been so hot here that the beach or the shopping centre  didn’t appeal.

So I took to the couch & watched the The PyeongChang Winter Games over the whole weekend with a beer.

Wow.

Now I’m very cold & stiff  when it is below +10C.

Here it is -13C & at the top of the mountain it maybe -30C.

How can they even flex??

First the Snow sliding.

Not that is not only gutsy, it is extreme & now I understand why these athletes compete at the X Games which I up to now have never watched.

What courage & how many crashes & emotions have they had to make it to the Games.

Yes games.

Even contemplating a somersault is impossible for me.

Let alone a triple somersault or a forward side 1440 or even a 270 backside.

The grade 11 maths student took some time to work out this snowslide jargon.

Gutsy when at the top they are apparently 15m up.

That’s 5 storys.

2 storys cleaning the guttering has me.

Same with the snow boarding .

And the luge reaching 142Km/hr.

I’m not confident on the bike at 1/3 that.

What time & stories &  pain & maybe to miss by a hairline as in the speed skating  or a decimal point with the judges or just a miscalculation to crash.

the agony and the ecstasy

NOBADAY

As an  advertisers jingo’s said.

Do the Impossible and  Start what you can’t.

Never again will I prejudge those at the skate park.

Yes Sir.
